Egyptian dance
Egyptian dance is grounded and uses body-centred movements: the body finds its natural spontaneity and so the dancer learns to dance from what she/he knows already. Egyptian dance transforms innate, instinctive gestures into a sensitive, profound, integrated expression. The body is transformed into a receptive tool for self-expressiveness and creativity.
Egyptian dance is a celebration of existence in all its aspects: it promotes a sense of heightening of life: it awakens a sense of Primal Joy. It is taught and performed as part of a continuing tradition.
